March 2017! Hatch with us!

Thank you, everyone! Sorry I overthink everything I do and then end up confusing myself sometimes!

I'm just praying at least 1 or the 18 hatches because of all the emotions I've invested

Always feel free to throw any questions out here - we're all in this together! (Now I'm sounding dangerously like a Disney musical!)

Haha, no I really appreciate it!! It's good to know you have support when there's babies on the way

. I think the only reason my husband is allowing me to have so many chicks is so I won't want another baby...

Anybody here at elevation. I am at 5,000 feet and having horrible hatches. I just got 2 chicks from 30 eggs. Humidity during incubation was about 30%, 65% during hatching. Temperature is at 99.5. I use a GQF sportsman incubator. The rest of the eggs do absolutely nothing. No pips, no internal pips, just nothing. This time I am going to to an eggtopsy. I was really hoping to get a large flock this year but so far I have just got 10. PLEASE HELP.

We're you able to read the link to the thread I posted last night? You are not alone in your frustrations.

These aren't shipped though, they are from my flock. They should be adjusted to this elevation.

I think it's a good idea to do the eggtopsy. Also, in that thread it seemed that the humidity was kept higher like 55% during incubation and she used an aquarium pump to pump more air through the incubator. Is the temperature stable?

It is perfectly stable but I have tried 55%. The egg sacs were way too small. They are still pretty small at 30%. I am going to try dry hatching anyways. I just hope that I can do better next time.

If I post eggtopsy pictures will anybody here be able to help me out and tell me what is wrong???

Yes, please post some. You're right that your own eggs shouldn't have oxygen issues... hmm. I think humidity plays in too, but it shouldn't keep that many from hatching. Something else is going on. What day are you on? And there's no sign of life at all?
