March 2017! Hatch with us!

Very odd. I'm stumped. :/

I need to look at your chick pic on the bigger screen. Phone too small and my eyes are awful. Lol

:bow

I'm pretty sure I figured out the parents, which would be my neighbors bantams that are always running around. I just don't know how it got in with my chicks. I updated my other thread with a pic of the bantams.

I saw. I just wonder how they got over there too! Do their hens ever come over to your place? Maybe contributed an egg to your nest? Or do you think they hatched over there, and the chick just made its way to your side?

The birds are in my yard most of the day but my birds are penned. Plus I'm sure only 7 eggs hatched. So the chick made its way in during the storm and decided my silkie was its mama. Next time I see the neighbor out I'm going to ask if their other hen who I haven't seen in a while has chicks in their yard somewhere.

I really tried to get involved with the Easter HAL last night (reading posts, etc) but I just couldn't do it. So, I will be hatching with the April hatchalong if any of you wonderful peeps want to join the second verse of this hatchalong song... or third verse... or fourth...or eighty-fifth...

I'm in!! I locked down 14 eggs Tuesday. 5 belong to my friend, 9 to me. I had one of mine out, when I went to bed. I had 3 of hers and 3 more of mine when I got up this morning. One of mine I need to cull. It's neck is arched all the way back, so it's head is on it's back, and one leg is straight out - like it's seizing. I don't have time to try to help it. I'm hoping there will be more chicks when I get home tonight.

Here is how I separated out the eggs.

Me too!!!!

I told myself I was going to take a break too, but had a customer come and buy all the little chicks I had, and she reallllly wants some SDW OEGBs, so I loaded the Octagon 20 with 36 eggs last night! :D Seramas and SDWs.

Oh and I have 19 lav orp eggs locked down last night. From 22 set, 2 clear, one quitter. Not too shabby!

Awesomeness, my friend!!! Congrats on the sale, and, more importantly, the excuse to do some more hatching! Hey, there's a couple duck hatchers in April and they seemed a little lost. I though to myself, "They could sure use wvduckchick on here!"

I put 42 in the incubator on the 25th of March, supposed to be here for Easter, I've posted this before, tried to be part of the hatch with us and have never seen my post, my computer illiteracy is probably showing
