Eek! Hopefully no power loss for you!!

Day 19 and babies are cheeping to me!! Eggs are rocking around and they’re hollering away!
Can we expect early chicks??

Maybe or maybe not. Internal to external pip is 24 hours. External pip to zip/hatch another 24. Which will put you at day 21.

That said the ones cheeping like crazy seem more motivated to hatch. And get the job done a bit sooner.

Either way the babies are on the way! :pop:jumpy

Fingers crossed for an uneventful incubation. :fl

Day 18. Getting ready for candling and "lock down". I've been running dry, under 30%, and need to partly disassemble my 'bator to crank the humidity. It's about 65 F in my basement so, step one is a warm fuzzy place for my eggs which will be out of the incubator for a while.
IMG_20180308_181633557_HDR[1].jpg Small cooler preheating under my brooder lamp. It will hold 100ish for an hour or so.

I started with 12. I dropped one on day 7. I pulled 1 unfertile and 2 early quitters on day 18. 8 look promising for hatch on Sunday.
