MARCH 2021 HATCH-A-LONG 🌷🌸🌼

Pics
I got a few candle photos tonight of day 14 for my pita pintas eggs. I have 11 out of the 16 still looking great.

Jeapa- don't be surprised if they hatch a day or 2 late, there is a lot of fluid, on the plus side there is veins.
So you think they look a couple of days behind in developing? I will cancel again on day 18 and see how they look. I could see all of them moving. I took a short video clip but not sure if I can post it here.

#1 of the big brown eggs above, (after day 16 the point should be dark. So at day 18 these are fine.)
The pic below #2 is the other big brown egg. Not in this pic, but I can see the chick jiggle the air cell. Both need the next 3 days to absorb the extra fluid towards the fat end, but they are doing fine.

Below are the from the 3 on day 7, Tan egg

Green egg harder to see inside, but you can see veins...

March HAL is not progressing optimally here. These are all my Awakening Forest eggs. No shipped eggs. Many were test hatches. Lots of non fertile eggs- they are all young and just started laying so no surprise. I threw out 30 eggs that would have been on day 16. The ones I kept back only two had visible veins. That isn't surprising, all of the eggs are dark and hard to see. I rarely see veins except right near the air cell. It's a new incubator too but it has been fluctuating between 99.1 to 100.2 marked at the door. Company says this is normal. It goes up when the temp in the room goes up and comes down when the temp in the room comes down. :idunnoI don't think this incubator will be staying at my house.
