Out of the incubator and into the brooder. I grouped the three newbies with five 2-3 week old bantams. The newbies are tuckered out from all that work they did yesterday but their new roommates are playing nice.

Hatch day 21 Blue egg, "Iko" was out of egg when I checked at 5am.

Below are the other 2 one zipping, one in air cell no pips.

I just got these eggs setting today, top 2 from my avatar, the bottom 2 are OE and a CC maran, all covered by a BCM. Plus I just ordered NN/friz eggs.

Second chick is out, "Jock-a-mo", small egg, waiting for one more. (resting cups not turner)

I had my Silkie set five Speckled Sussex/Rhode Island eggs from my farm. Surprisingly they all hatched on March 10! They are growing fast and I love seeing them with their mom.

I have four hatched now, one just about finished, and the last three pipped. Not sure why this hatch is so much more spread out than I typically get, but at least they’re all hatching!

Day 20 officially starts in a couple hours, but we have the first pip!

I have 7 hatched this morning, and the last one has pipped but hasn’t started zipping yet. I ended up with two pullets and two cockerels from my sex-linked Ameraucana/Barred Rock cross. All black, so I think it’s safe to assume the rooster doesn’t carry blue. Of the three eggs that have hatched from my Olive Egger, two have wheaten type down and the other is the same primary color but with slight chipmunk striping. I’ll post a picture once they’re all hatched and fluffed.
