March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

I have a Hovabator 1602N coming and the instructions I read on the GQF website are calling for a temperature of 100 degrees.

Should I follow the manufacturer's instructions, or go with what I've read here and on the U of Minnesota Ag Extension website?

First timer and very nervous.

The incubator your getting is a forced air so 100 degrees is good

I just drop things ON the eggs. I already have one taped up with scotch tape. Another has a suspicious looking line on it, not sure if it's a crack or a scratch in the "finish". It's gonna look like a hospital ward in there pretty soon.

I just candled mine at day three... def saw at least some "spiders", the rest it was hard to tell... I will try to find my mag light for tomorrow.

I'm joining everyone here for a March hatch I have between 8 and 12 eggs going in tomorrow morning all mutts both standard and bantam

I set my 16 shipped Auracana eggs on Feb 10th due to hatch on March 3rd. Hopefully. Candled today and got rid of 3 clears. Had other clears but I really have no idea of what I'm looking at. I saw no veining. Just darkness at the top of the egg. Assumed it was the air sack. Oh please just let something hatch.

I'm always hatching! My silkie hen went broody, and I found a chick under her tonight! Plus I got my cabinet incubator recently, so I have to test run that. And my friend lost her Lt. Brahma roo to a hawk, so we are trying to hatch some of hers to get a replacement roo. I've got Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks, RIR, Polish, Silkies, and a few Delawares, Lt. Sussex, and Lt. Brahmas. Getting some chicks shipped end of Feb, can't wait!

That darkness on top might be the embrio (getting bigger every day) - after a week or so those 'spiders' are not that clear anymore. Air sacks are rather see-through, not that big at this stage and should be at the non-pointy ends
