March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

Okay, I'm in.
First time hatching here and have a question. I ordered eggs and wondered if I need to pick them up from the PO or let them be delivered to my house?
I have a Hova 1602n that I just installed a fan and automatic egg turner. I'll be testing temp and humidity all weekend and until the 20 BCM eggs get here (they ship on Monday from two different suppliers).

BYC has been a fantastic resource and I am grateful.

Wish me luck,

Alan.

hi i have them delivered to the house. i live in a small town so they have a fairly short ride once they make it to my post office. hope that helps some.

Well, its day 7 for my eggs, and I just candled and culled the obvious duds. I started with 44 shipped Ameraucana eggs, and pitched 25 that were complete duds. I have 4 more to toss which have blood rings, but since this is my second hatch, and the eggs are dark and hard to candle, I wanted to look here for pics of blood rings before I tossed them. I have 15 which currently look good. So here's hoping these will continue to develop normally. Hatch day for me is March 10th. How is everyone else doing?

I have 6 silkie eggs developing nicely, lockdown is mon. can not wait!!!!

I started with 21, had a lot of clears and 2 quitters. Now I know why ppl hate shipped eggs! When are yours due? Are you using shipped eggs? Mine will be at day 21 next Thurs,

Edited to add: Now down to 10 eggs, the rest were no fertile. Nine of these are doing well, and one I can't see through so , don't know yet. Day 15 for me!!

I'm in!
I set 24 Buckeye eggs, 12 NH eggs, 3 duck eggs and 2 buff cochin eggs last night at 7:30. Now the waiting begins! The temps are holding steady and the humidity is staying right at 35 percent. I would have liked the humidity to be up a bit, but for some reason with this many eggs it just doesn't want to go up.......looking forward to a March 16 hatch!

wow, I want one of those, love the big window!

Count me in for a first hatch! Ack so nervous.

Just set 23 eggs in a hovabator 1602 borrowed from my elementary school. I have lavender Ameraucanas, Wheaten Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, and Welsummers. A rainbow! Perhaps not a great idea for a first time candler, but oh well.

Temp and humidity finally right on, but not sure if the auto turner is actually working

Anyway I think that makes them due St. Paddy's Day! Here's hoping for some luck o' the Irish.
