March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

Set another 18 eggs this morning, plus what ever else is laid today. My first batch is due the 23rd.

Hooray Hooray Hooray!!!

EARLY HATCH!!! So far I have 3 out of the 4 eggs left out and drying this morning. I think 2 are Japanese Bantams for sure, 1 I can't tell until it is dry and I can handle it. I put 6 under her, 2 silkie eggs, and 4 JB. 2 eggs broke day 2 and only 4 left, but I didn't know which was which.

this is my first hatch. i set them feb 28th. 10 of the 13 eggs are doing great. cant wait for hatch time to get here.

All 4 hatched! I got another one 30 minutes ago. We have 2 silkies & 2 japanese bantams

Set 48 eggs. Did candeling and have 29 good eggs in the bator due on the 23rd

. Hoping this batch does better then Feb. Set mixed breeds, Light Sussex. 1 marans egg that I cant see through so I wont know about the fertility of that one till it stinks

The lone BBS Orp egg hatched! Suede and Smoky have another child, looks black. My hatching eggs ship out tomorrow--five boxes from three different states so there will be more babies to come in a few weeks.

Put my eggs in lockdown today. Out of the 24 purchased Buckeye eggs only 13 made it to lockdown. When I broke the clear ones only two had blood rings and the other 9 didn't look like they were fertile. My 12 NH eggs on the other hand are all growing nicely and all went into lockdown as did my 3 duck eggs and my 2 cochin eggs. Kind of a bummer about the Buckeyes but I did expect some failure rate - just hope the 13 all hatch ok since I really want these chicks to thrive! I am sure my own eggs will have at least an 85 % hatch rate. Now to sit on my hands and keep them away from the bator - I can't help but fuss over the eggs - leave it alone leave it alone leave it alone.......hmmm I better go check the bator!
