And I'm still waiting ~ I now have 2 Cochin eggs pipped which have gotten a little bigger and they are peeping and rocking. I just know they are going to hatch in the middle of the night. How am I supposed to sleep tonight if there are babies that might be hatching?

I love night hatches!

Going to bed and waking up to an incubator full of chicks is so much less stressful than staring at the eggs every 15 minutes until they hatch!

Lock down Monday, candled yesterday, did several eggtopsies.
We lost 5 at about a 10-12 days old and several were infertile.
The temp has been holding and so has the humidity. The odd thing is the ones that died at a 10 days were all of the same breed, coincidence?
We did fill the incubator till about bursting for the first time so it could also be that.

Congrats on all of the hatches everyone!!

Hatching has began!!!!
Sucess on 3 CM, 1 EE/CM and 2 BCM!!! (all our own flock) And 1 BCM failed in hatching. Zipped 1/3 of the way and died.

I then broke the golden rule and removed it for fear of germs and such. I have 8 BCM eggs to go
