March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

FINALLY saw into two of my 19 eggs last night. I am waiting until tomorrow when my son gets back to look at the other 17. Whoo hoo! I saw baby chick filling about 2/3 of the eggs. I saw a beak!!! This incubating stuff really works. I am so excited now. It seems a lot more real, now that I KNOW for sure that Pepper the silkie roo is doing his job! OMG, now I wanna order some silkie eggs for the April hatch along....

No. I didn't stay outta my bator. No. My temps are not stable. No. I didn't listen to you.
I stated earlier that my thermostat is not working properly and, no, it didn't fix itself, and no, I can't fix it til these eggs are done.
"Lockdown" is not a law. Incubators can be opened during hatch. I know how to open without losing humidity.

So so cute.... C'mon tell us about your waterer....where you get it... Anything to save time, stress and messy-ness... I'm all for it...

Please

Melinda

Here is the thread about the nipple waterers:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=328918&p=1
It tells how to make the waterers and how to use them. Neil sells the nipples and charges a whole lot less shipping than FarmTek or anyone else who sells them. I recommend buying from him.

Okay, I just threw my hat into the ring.

I put 7 BCM eggs in the incubator last night, much to my DH's dismay. "Is it ever going to stop?"

I told him I'm raising these to sell so I can save up for a larger incubator. THAT went over really well.

Woke up to 2 more babies this morning. That makes 3 total and 4 more eggs under momma. I'm afraid one of them is not going to make it though. It either had a rough time hatching overnight or got squished. It was barely moving or breathing. I repositioned it in a warm spot under mom and will let nature take it's course. Praying he was just weak and needed a rest. Time will tell.

Here is the little bantam chick that hatched and is doing good

We lost the standard chick this morning, I guess it just had a bad time during the hatching process overnight. There are 3 standard eggs left (1 is pipping) and 1 banty egg left.

Here is the chick we named Peanut (bantie hen/standard RIR roo) hatched by the standard WLH...
