I just set 40 eggs too.
I don't have many hopes for it this time, because it is still air incubator. Last time we had one with a fan and the hatch was great! Our of 27 fertile eggs 25 hatched (we had to get rid of 1 defected right away), one died after piping and one looked fully developed but did not start to hatch, so we ended up with 24 chicks and now 5 hens and 1 roo are still with us. I did not know much about incubators when I bought this still air one off hand last fall. It looked just like the one we used back in April, but when I turned it on a week or two ago, I realized it does not have a fan. Dh said we are not installing a computer fan in there (he is not happy about me having chickens), so we will just have to see how lucky we will get. On this incubator I also have to adjust temperature (which I am not sure I am successful at so far), while on previous one factory setting worked great.

We should be hatching around the 21st, put in 40 Eggs, all Easter Eggers. Hope we get good results, this is our first try with this bunch, they will be a yr. old in May. Hubby wants to get rid of the Roo after this because he is messing up the girls feathers! He is a sweetheart, will sit on my lap especially if I have treats but he has started to go after my feet on occasion for some reason, still gotta love him!
