March Hatch-A-Long.( How is it gettting here so quick ? LOL )

So, I have a mixed batch of shipped eggs in the bator now: 5 Isabel orpingtons on day 12, 14 mixed (3 BCM, 3 blue marans, 3 Wheaton marans, 2 OE, 2 BBS AMs, 1 BLRW) also in day 12, 5 lav orp on day 11, 8 lav cuckoo orp on day 4, and 7 lemon cuckoo orp on day 4. I'm really excited about this hatch!! I just got done with a week and a half hatch-a-thon - sorry I didn't post much, but I was too busy with the hatches to post much. 57 chicks hatched over a week and a half! I had to build a bigger brooder :)

Good luck to everyone's hatches!!

57 at once WOW I thought I was bad!!

can't wait for the weather to break so I can get these chickens out of the house lol....actually the chicks are pretty easy it's the little ducklings in with them that spread the water every where and keep the brooder stinky:sick

Me too!! I hear you on that! The amount of dust they generate is incredible. Spring can't come fast enough. I have been bad :) and I have more hatching! The trick is to keep my husband from freaking out... Lol. Not an easy task!

:D

You're lucky your husband builds your coops! I'm jealous :) I have to build my own coops. I'm going to build a 10 coop complex this spring for my breeding projects - that's what these chicks are for. But my hatch rate has been excellent from shipped eggs lately, so I'll end up selling at least half of the chicks I have. Kinda sad to do it but I can't keep 100 chickens! Then my husband would surely divorce me! Lol :D
