March Hatch-A-Long

I've got 3 1602n hova-bators that hold 50 eggs each and an old incubator (can't remember the brand name) that hold 135 eggs.. If you haven't already noticed i'm a hatch-oholic

I've also got a few chickens that look like they're starting to go broody that i plan on giving eggs, I'll either give them some more calls or bielefelder eggs to sit on~
Wow, that's a lot. I assume you have a automatic turner for your incubators otherwise that would take you forever.
And don't worry, I have noticed that you're a hatch-oholic.

Hah! I think my arm would have fallen off by now if I hand-turned my eggs.. I use flat auto-turners so I can keep the eggs on their sides through-out incubation not have to worry about taking it out for lock-down~

The one time Gucy tried to hatch her eggs, she did so well and then we got a flash flood and it got high enough to flood out her nest, same year I tried to hatch her eggs in the incubator and went fine till 2 days before due to hatch and then suddenly spiked to 104 overnight because of cat and killed the 4 that looked good to hatch. :he
Oh, no. That must have been horrible. I do hope this year you will have better luck. <sending luck your way>

My incubator came with a turner but the bantam eggs and geese eggs don't fit(nor do a lot of my chicken eggs since they are so big), so we don't use it. We don't have near as many eggs to flip, though, so I still have both arms firmly attached.

It was disappointing for sure. Pilgrims are hard to find, geese are loud critters and after I lost Gucy I get rid of the others. Pilgrims are great though. So docile.
I rather like my geese, despite them not having the whole dewlap thing(I like my geese to be agile, especially since they're my line of defense against foxes). This being said, I kind of want another breed of geese someday and I've been looking at steinbachers. I love their color and their little black bean and mouth.

I'll join in~ :frow I've got two batches due the 4th and 7th. Batch #1 has 18 Tolbunt polish(Frizzled&smooth) 6 Lavender orpingtons, and 11 cream(Crested) legbars. And batch #2 I have 8 call duck eggs. Saving up some more call duck eggs to set on the 2nd of march(hatch date would be the 28th), So far I have 6 saved up, thinking i'll have 20+ saved up by then~
WAAA! I was trying so hard to find someone to sell me some Tolbunt polish eggs....I can't wait to see your hatch :caf
