Just got done candling. Looks like 2 blood rings, and 2 clears. The rest were all developing. So 12/17... So sad I dropped #17, it was developing... These are shipped eggs so I guess it could be worse. If the lethal leg gene doesn't come into effect with these guys, 12 Serama is perfect! As long as I don't drop anymore.

I removed the chicks from the bator this morning since today is day 3 of life for at least 2 of them. I made sure there were no pips in any of the other eggs. I left the bator on and about an hour later heard chirping coming from my room, yup I missed one! There were so many chicks in te bator sitting all over the eggs I didn't notice one was completing zipped! I ended up helping it a little, he is still trying to pop the lid.

No one is perfect, don't beat yourself up. Just spoil the chicks that much more.

How did you see that pip on the bottom? I have mine in cartons too and I'm worried about one of them pipping low.

was getting worried so I just checked them. Just had a feeling. I use egg turner. Guess pie thing didn't turn up right. Glad I caught it.
