I lost the one that pipped. Fully formed and ready yo be a chick

But I do have two more pips....broke away some of the shell. They look good, I doubt i will have anymore Pip. If these make it they will be an ee and rir.

They've pipped anywhere from 2-7 today, so about 5 hours give or take. How long should I wait to help?
I would wait 12-15 hours after pip- if no further progress- then you help...

Thanks Pug. Should I have had my humidity up a little more? It was around 30-40..temp at 100. I wonder why they took so long to pip? The ones ive looked at the air cells are a little big and kinda down the side. Some look like they are peirceing the air sac, I see defendant movement.

I'm so confused!!!

5 pips and it looks like some are starting to zip!! Might have some chicks soon! Can't wait. For some reason it seems that my brown eggs are the only ones pipping and zipping?! The others are wiggling but no pips from them yet. :/

Today is day14 for me and all of my eggs are clear

We had a good idea he wouldn't make it, but still sorry to see it go.

Thankfully my incubator is full and we're hatching chicks out weekly. Next week I have 4 goose eggs coming out, and when I candled them they all did the Elvis dance.
I'm sorry about that one struggling, all the more reason to spoil the ones that made it!

Once the chicks have internally pipped, I move them to the hatcher with a humidity of around 60%...you might be running a bit low for hatch time. If you don't have a separate incubator to hatch in, and you're having trouble getting your humidity up, you can place a new, wet sponge in the corner of the bator and that will raise your humidity. You don't want to drown your chicks, but you don't want to shrink wrap em either. Only add the sponge if you've already filled your water trays and are still having trouble with getting the humidity up. If you don't have a sponge, something that might sound a bit odd, but is completely safe to use, is a maxi pad

...yes, I said it! Trust me, it works! You'd be surprised how many people use them!
