i want to tell you a cousin has had that same thing since early 2000 or even maybe in the 1990s and is still doing well.
I think some cancers they can control fairly well and hopefully or looks like to me this may be one. FIGHT ON!! you seem to be winning it !!

I think days like today chickies hatching is a wonderful uplifting thing to enjoy by anyone the miracle of life..sort of really amazing. to watch happen and with cancer it probably is helping your fight ..the happiness and joy this brings to ppl good medicine

WOW! Okay, what a difference paying flippin' attention makes I tell ya!

So far - SEVEN live hatches and 11 more pipped externally! Temp and humidity seem to be holding well, although I've had to make minor adjustments along the way.

When they're this darn cute, I'll take a million, thank You!




(It's been hilarious watching them chase the feather dander around the brooder bin!)

I just read all the post since last looked everyone is hatching well YEY!!!

Except for the mishap with the auto temp thing a close one that ended well thank goodness
i think so far we all are getting good hatches and healthy babies.A lucky week some arent as lucky .
I have some LO and AM eggs in lockdown Day 21...2 Los have hatched 1 a big zip and in the homemade 1 Lo has hatched

Hope those AMs hatch as they will be silkie or silkie splits REALLY want them!
.None have yet but often lately i get more action on day 22.

You are so lucky. I was just given some eggs about a week ago, of some M. Serama. Tiny eggs. Just threw out the last one. Two started, then quit. Are they always this hard to hatch? I have a Japanese baby that is sooo Tiny at two and a half weeks. I finally had a baby chick hatch that wasn't bigger than her at this age..lol..it's the bantam NN I showed. The Japaneses is growing..slowly but surely. I have a friend that had a Japanese bantam, got up to a whole 8 oz. as a hen! Your baby is pretty, is it going to be a black tail? Just guessing here.

I'm not sure what color he'll end up being. Right now he's all yellow. He came from breeding pen 3 from the person I got them from so there's a chance he could be a frizzle.

One of the chicks that hatched today is still drying out in the bator, but I've noticed that one leg is sticking straight out behind it. It doesn't seem to be able to stand or walk at this point.
Is this just a foot that got a bit stuck in the egg and will get better by itself? Has anyone else had this issue with any of their chicks please. This baby is very alert and bright eyed, just flapping a lot to get around and not walking properly at the moment.

Would REALLY appreciate your thoughts/experiences please.

For me, half of the fun with Serama is waiting to see what color they will be.
Have three eggs under my broody...............I forgot o put on the calendar when I gave them to

but expecting action soon from the way she is acting..She did not even get off the egs for grapes last night..............

I had one,it will not repair itself............there is a thread concerning this and I cannot remember exactly where on BYC's............
It gives information on how to help..
Maybe go to illness thread......I will try to find it...
I think it is called a slipped tendon....................
