Ew that pic did look bad. It honestly didn't look that bloody IRL, stupid as that sounds. There is the drop there, but the bulging vein was actually intact, and this morning was shrunken.

At least, I felt good yesterday. If I had made it bleed much I'd have been more worried.

Anyway...

I hope the little guy makes it. My straggler needed some help hatching (the one that came out with two pieces of dried membrane stuck to its back) and I nicked a little vessel, I put it back in the incubator and covered the dried membrane with aquaphor...which didn't really help keep it moist as far as I can tell.

I honestly don't hold much hope at all... Just trying to stay positive.

Still a great hatch, though. Can't win em all.

Egg yolk. If you don't have time to boil it, you can give it raw in an eye dropper.

As much as she will take before refusing. Do you have any poultry nutri-drench?
I really think the egg yolk will be very beneficial to help her gain strength/fluids.

I fight for my babies. Especially when they are willing to fight to live. Eating/drinking in my opinion, shows a will to live.

Well. It did seem to eat some of it. Eyes opened just a teeny bit. Very weak though. Also have a drop or two of water from a qtip I had laying here.

S/He did let out a small peep or two when I first picked him up but nothing after that.. Wrapped in a warm wet cloth wrapped in another dry cloth for the feeding.

I placed it back in the bator, still wrapped. We'll see what it looks like. I leave in an hour and can try again before I leave.
