. I have a few adults I am going to cull but dh would like someone to take them for meat. I am culling them because I am not going to proceed with most of my projects. Just too much work and worry, I have enough with the kids, other pets, and school....this was supposed to be fun

for you and Semi. I have been following this for a while now and have wanted to post so many times for support but I was so incredibly sad for you and know no matter what I said it wouldn't take away the heart ache and loss you guys have been enduring..I also know by me not saying anything doesn't say much about my character and who I really am so All I can say and offer is an " I'm so so sorry and if there's anything I can do to help please let me know?"

Now I think I may have a silkie that is acting kindof off. She's a 2 year old offspring of my original silkies. I have 9 that were all living together with the 10 Polish chicks they hatched (7 are dead).

I guess I'll have to wait it out.

I dont know the answer. I also have a question. If a bird is vaccinated for Mareks at one day old and comes from a flock that may or may not have Mareks and a person buys that bird can this new bird infect your flock?

I was wondering the same thing Sem... I have yet to find any literature indicating whether they shed the disease more after they are affected... from my own observations I could clearly see how they could. They seem to get more dander but that can be attributed to the fact they stop preening themselves etc...
