Thanks. I also know how Krista feels-you think it's over, then another one gets it.
Either way it's going to run it's course.

Lost another 100% English orp today(I think it was my only 100% English pullet). My son went to let them out today and she was dead in the coop

. on a positive note, the swedish flower hen has a boo boo on his foot so that explains his limp.

Sorry about your hen, Krista. Hopefully your roo's foot will heal and that will be that. One of my roos actually was limping a few weeks ago, but the next day it was gone. Just a scare with him.

I have a sinking feeling that this will continue on through the winter

went to let the birds out today and another ameraucana is staggering. She is 4 months old. I still have birds younger than her so something tells me I shouldn't hope for too much. I only have 2 black ameraucana pullets left from this years hatch. I wish I knew when it will all stop

Hi Krista. Sorry to hear that you have another one. I have a roo right now that is pooping green and his wings appear to hang lower.
I got my gallon of Oxine today. I will be spraying EVERYTHING down, from the rafters down. I think they might have a better chance of not getting Marek's if I eliminate as much of the viral dust as possible.

Well I managed to clean my big coop out and saturate everything-and the walls and the ceiling with Oxine mix. I feel much better now. No , it's not a cure, but it's the best I can do.

I recently had to cull a hen due to Marek's. She was just suffering too much.

I have been looking for really good info about Marek's and found a basic handout at UC Davis website. Here is link

My
hen looked like the one in the picture with her legs splayed out to the sides. So sad!
