Mareks versus ALV

So I sent a chicken away and the place I sent it I guess can’t do full diagnosis and it was suspected mareks. My chicken did have the typical symptoms such as drooping wings and loss of balance. The neurological test came back as enlarged heart suspected mareks. I’ve since lost two more hens in back to back days. All had the drooping wings and lack of balance. These two hens were eating and drinking from what I could tell till about 1-2 days before their death. Just want to be sure I’m going the right direction in researching mareks.

I would trust the lab on this. Marek's creates tumors. Where the tumors grow and how quickly determines the symptoms. Some birds are more susceptible than others. Some strains can go through a flock more quickly than others.

So I can see Marek's as being plausible. The only way to determine would be a necropsy which you've had done which is inconclusive but suspects Marek's.

So my first thought would be Marek's.
