Margo is in Trouble

I am really sorry to hear about Margo. Hens that weak shouldn’t probably get another bath, since it can push a really weak hen over the edge. It is fine that you tried it initially, but since you feel no egg, it is best to keep her where she is. I would watch for any signs that she is cold. This time of year, we are all trying to keep them cool, but when they go bad, they may need to be kept warm. I wish I knew how to help her.

Can you try to insert a feeding tube or some aquarium air tubing into her crop, and try to give her some fluids? I have used the air tubing and melted the end that goes into the throat to soften edges. It fits onto a large 35 ml syringe if you have one. I would give her about 30 ml of water with the NutriDrench. Maybe @casportpony will chime in with more suggestions.

The comb discoloration can be normal in large combed hens, but since she is so weak now, it may have been significant. I hope you can save her, but you know how many illnesses chickens can have. Sometimes it is hard to know the cause.

Not sure where I can get one. Nearest Tractor Supply is 1.5 hour’s away and I work full time. I’m leaving Friday for five days, too. :barnie
:barnie Just stop messing with her for the night.
See how she does.
All the baths and such is a lot of stress.

At this point there isn't much you can do.
I highly doubt she is egg bound because you have already bathed her and given her calcium right?
She either has worms or EYP.
You will need something besides Wazine to treat, I believe, if it is worms.
EYP...not really much to do unless you can't find some good antibiotics.

Stress alone can kill.

I think it is best to leave her alone as much as possible to cause her less stress until you can come up with a game plan.
