Margo is in Trouble

My thought would be...get her feeling better so she’s eating.
Then either take a food she can’t resist and put the antibiotics in it. Or if she won’t take it that way put the pill down her mouth.
Or crush the pill in 3ccs of apple juice and pow down the kisser with a syringe.
One antibiotic a day is better than none at all.
Have your neighbor do that for you.

Wait, was it just YESTERDAY that I thought she was dying in my arms??? When I set her down, she just sort of melted onto the dirt, face and all. Remember she had ibuprofen about 5.5 hours ago, too.
I need to do some research on reproductive infections... causes, etc. I wonder if her laying days are over?

Yes, if I could figure out a treat it can hide in, that would work. I might ask my local chicken friend if one of her (young adult/older teenager kids) wants to earn some money while I’m gone if I can’t figure that out. I’ve seen her adorable adult son with a chicken on his shoulder while he was on the computer. If my hospital area were bigger and amoxicillin could go in water, I’d do that.

Thank you! She’s obviously still not 100% and I am concerned about how to get the full course of antibiotics in her, but right now I am actually sitting down enjoying watching the flock. I’m exhausted. Too bad I didn’t get a really good photo of that weird posture, as it might be helpful for others. I hope not to see it again.
