Margo is in Trouble

My husband’s going to be home most of the days, and he’s going to give the meds. I’m going to teach him how to do the pills before I leave. I was just hoping it wasn’t going to come to that. My neighbor is willing to try meds in/on feed/treat, but I’m not asking him to try to force them on her.
Wonders if hubby could test the bread-med while bird is confined...then neighbor could also employ that method?

HAPPY DAY!!! I went to pill Margo & have my daughter take a video of me doing it, because I didn’t realize hubby was leaving for work while I was out. Thought he was working from home today and I wanted to show him how to give her meds. Anyway… I went to get her out of her little safety area, and she had eaten the bread with meds on it. No need for forcing today! Oh, wait... she still needs her calcium.

Yes, still doing calcium, when I can. She is also on layer feed only, which I saw her eat today. I also saw her drink and saw two semi-normal looking poops in her area before I left. If they can keep up the meds, I am very hopeful. I asked “wonders if hubby” as someone else dubbed him, to let her out of jail an hour before bed and he said she was running around with her tail up.

For all of you that like the technical/medical stuff here is one that I stumbled across:
Technical Procedures for the Avian Patient
Amy B. Johnson, CVT

Just had a chance to look at this document. It’s a good one; thank you! I love the science. I was a molecular biologist before my second child was born. Though I gave up that career, being able to read scientific articles easily provided very helpful when my daughter got very sick five years ago and now again with keeping chickens.
