I know right! I went to the coop and about fell out when I saw it. That's the 2nd one this month. I'm gonna try to hatch it.

So I guess I should stop complaining about how cold it is here?

I am *freezing* when I get out of bed and it is 69* in the house so I have to wrap up in a blanket until the house heats up to 72* before I can get ready for work. And going out in the 40s for my 3 minutes of chicken chores is pure torture. My husband thinks I am crazy, but I swear my body hurts on the inside when I am cold. Bring on summer and 120*! Only then will I be happy.

We are currently at -9°F. The kids & I just went out to feed. My rubber bowls were so frozen I literally had to turn the 2 biggest over & jump up & down on them to get enough ice out to add hot water. This old fat woman does not jump well. Nearly gave myself 2 black eyes when I forgot to fold my arm across my chest first. Found my little call drake frozen in the corner & had a turkey hen escape to the woods because my son was opening the door as she came out of the rafters. She hit him in the face & knocked him over then took the door to freedom. Hopefully she will come back here in a while wanting the breakfast she missed & I can slip out to let her in.
