Ill have to check the date for batch no 2. Ran out of propane for the barn last night. Lost 10 chicks to the cold. Part of the problem is the torpedo has no thermostat.... its either full on or full off.. guh. What I need is a real small old wood stove.. ya know the ones that barely hold two logs.. that would solve the problem.

With your son's special needs, check with your local mr/dd office & see if they can be of any assistance in making the landlord get things fixed or helping with the cost of the generator. If they can't then they may at least be able to point you to someone who can.

Childrens's Services. When I was in the Army and living in Fayettville, NC, we had our air conditioner in our trailer go out in the summer. Four or five days went by in 100˚ heat in a metal box. My oldest daughter has Cerebral Palsey. I called Children's Services and reported our conditions and the landlord had someone out to fix the air conditioner the next day.

Last set was set 1/20. Had one early hatching this morning. Another had piped tonight.

The Anconas are laying. That egg in the front looks almost purple when the light hits it right. Will be setting a batch later this week to check fertility. Then we will be waiting on the turkeys to join them so I can send a nice assortment of chicks, ducks & turkeys to MCF.
