Markham is in Ontario Canada

I thought about trying to change the bylaws, but first of all I'm not sure if anyone else cares about this enough to help support it. Second with COVID most councillors probably aren't going to work normally so I don't know if they're going to take much time with this. And lastly even if we manage to change the bylaws it would probably take more than 30 days...

Should I still try to change the bylaws? And if so, how?

I live in Marham as well and would really love to have some chickens. Not sure if you had any luck resolving your issue. How do we change this bylaw?

You should write to your councillors and show them the successful pilot projects from toronto and Kingston. If you want, I can connect you to a friend that successful advocated for bylaw changes in PEC to allow raising hens in urban areas. Feel free to DM me your email and I can connect you!

make sure you are actually forwarding individual comments to your city councillors. it's more effective if 50 ppl write in to councillors than to forward one petition in my experience
