Marking Stray Dogs in our Yards?

I got a catalog yesterday that had oil-based paintballs for animal marking. I mean, this could be very cool for me. I hate the stray dogs that walk my fence line looking for ways to get to my live-stock and chickens. Do you think getting plastered with a paintball gun that stains fur would make a difference to the dog or owners? Has anyone else tried this?

I hope your neighbors are smarter than mine are ! Mine just can't seem to understand that their dogs have to stay home. But, I am working on it from a legal stand point and when it is all settled, I will have a dog story that you guys will not believe . . . .

So how much do Paintball guns run? The paint pellets are not that pricey.

I wish they made clear paintballs. If anyone finds them PLEASE let me know. My neighbors are my in-laws so I can't really leave there dog spotted. That would make for a family feud.
