MARYLAND SWAP **Coop Giveaway Promotion** going on now!

Sorry I just wanted to make it clear I don't have any pullets or hens for sale.
The only ones I'm not sure on sex are the ducklings and the young olive egg layers.
I'm not selling any pullets/ hens of the jg's or oe till they are laying wipe for the jg's a year old and then they will be my cull birds.
I will be keeping the best of my new line cockerels of blue jg's too.
I won't have any Marans pullets for a long time.
I only have two. So I have to either build or hatch order more next year.
I know that sucks but as we all know when you want pullets you hatch roosters by the ton!

So excited about the upcoming swap. These are always a blast! We will be bringing a handful of birds, including:
silkie juveniles
bantam polish (frizzle and smooth)
2 pastel call ducks (female, 4 months old)
quail (button and coturnix)
possibly also several modern game bantams

We also have 6 or 7 runner ducks that we are considering bringing if there's some interest. We had them shipped directly from Holderreads in Oregon back in March. They are a mix of blues and blacks. They are quite lovely and upright. We had to order 10 for the shipment, but we can only keep 4! There appear to be several drakes already, although we can't identify the sex of all of them yet.

Oh, I was also hoping to find the very nice lady who was selling the white crested blue polish at the June swap. We bought a lovely pair of polish from you, and we just lost the hen last week to a darn hawk. It's our first loss to a predator, and we're so disappointed! Plus her mate is lonely without a hen. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to purchase more blue polish from you at this swap. If you see this, please PM me. :)

Thanks!

Kat, if you have any yearling peafowl, give me a holler. I would like to get a couple of hens... and maybe a pair of cameos

erin I have some really nice cameo yearlings....... and some whites

I def want a pair... and maybe a trio. I am still wanting pied hens but, I'm pretty sure you didn't get any this year. If no pieds, I'd like another IB hen.

There will be FREE vendor space for anyone selling 5 birds or less. I've had a few folks contact me about this situation and thought it be best just to make it known here too. Let the guys know at the gate that you are selling 5 birds or less and they'll send ya through.

Lot 12 public house of Berkeley Springs will be catering our concession stand. They will be serving breakfast wraps, other breakfast items, as well as lunch: smoked chicken wraps, sausage sammies, jerk chicken sammies, pull pork sammies, soups and salads.

I think my dad is doing a corn roast too. We are digging the pits for it now... he better! errr :)

Our ponies are all booked up for this date and I have been scrambling to find another but, it seems that is a very popular day. If anyone knows of someone who does pony parties, holla. They must be licensed and insured.

If anyone would like to volunteer to assist on swap day, please message me. We have hired two guys for traffic direction as the bottleneck situation at the end of the driveway has gotten out of hand. I will be parking vendors. I have two guys to work the front gate and one at the admission area. It would be nice to have a couple of "floaters" to walk around and keep everything flowing. I have Event Staff T's for you to wear if interested.

I have sent out all the press releases and the Coop Giveaway promo on the Facebook page has really taken off. I counted almost 50 flyers from here to Annapolis and Fredericksburg and Harrisburg and everywhere in between... very cool. Our site is seeing more traffic than before the spring swap so.. lookin good guys! Two weeks and a few days to go!! yayyyy

Thanks Erin for all your help.
I no longer have any birds for sale.
I donated the few I had left to a fellow breeder for all the help they have given to all the local breeders around here.
Best wishes to a great swap and I hope ya'll sell out of everything.
If any one wants a Jersey Giant cockerel from my new line E-mail me (I dont get my pm's) and I can help you out as I have a few I can move out of my breeder grow out pens.
Thanks for the pastel ducks we love them very much already they settled in like they had come home to stay!
We are packing like crazy and plaining for the big move of all the coops and birds ( while the swap is going on no less!) So everyone stay safe on the roads and have fun for me.
I know I will be close to tears ~ either with joy ,from pulling my hair out or from being just plain tired.

Tonya, it was nice seeing you this weekend... I wish I had more time to chat but, I was swamped with testing birds most of the day. I did more yesterday and some on Sat. as well. Looks like this Sat will be one heck of a chicken party!! We will all sure miss you. It's hard to believe the few of us who started Chickenstock back in 09 with 4 vendors and a boat load of shoppers! We sold out before 9am and couldn't believe how fast everything went. We quickly realized we weren't the only chicken-crazed people out there. There are so many of us... all over the country. I will miss you dearly, old friend. I am sure you will locate the NC peeps quickly!! The duckies are all settled in and we just love watching their antics. I'll keep back several of those young poults so we can do some sexing and get ya a trio. Talk with you soon
