I miss the glory days of Londsale Quay... the noise, bustle, fish counter, little produce vendors, ice cream, and buskers out in the courtyard playing live music...

Me too!!!! I can remember my daughter as a first grader going to sing Christmas carols in the court at Londsdale Quay right near the guy who made and bent the big candy canes.

Last time I was up there I had a friend from San Fran along helping me to move in. I had filled her with stories of the vibrant public markets and when I took her to see the one on Robson and then Londsdale Quay we were both gob smacked. Thank goodness Granville Island is still a great destination!

But, on the other hand, there's a proliferation of really excellent grocery stores now up and down Londsdale and Marine Drive all along the North Shore. I actually sit here in Los Angeles and remember them with envy.
