Photos will definitely help. Unfortunately, from the written description, your setup is not secure, as evidenced by the incursions. Is the enclosure covered or open topped? Most welded wire has openings that eont exclude predators and poultry netting (chicken wire) lacks the ability to exclude anything.....if that is combined with an open top on the enclosure pretty much every predator of poultry can make entry one way or another with relatively little effort.

:welcome :frow My suggestion is to put up a game camera if you have one. Most likely the predator will be back. Last night's visitor. Most nights I see a predator on at least one of my cameras. The lights in the background are from other cameras. This youngster set the cameras off. Here we see mostly coyotes and fox.

I don't think we have many predators, but I may set one up just so I can have peace of mind OR avoid complacency.

So sorry for your loss. Did you enclosure have a flange to stop any preditiors from digging in? I agree that we need photos to help us figure out and some descriptions of the wounds may help too.

Since I put up my cameras I am surprised how many predators roam my property at night. Hardly a night goes by where I don't see one on at least one of the cameras. Here it's hot during the day so most of the predators roam at night. Primarily in the spring when the predators are looking for mates and having their young that I occasionally one during the day.
