Whoa, Guy Clark! One of my early heroes, thanks for the memory shakeup Marlin!

Homegrown Sweet 100's- and a pinch of basil leaf from the plant next over- nuthin' finer!

ETA, now I have to dig out the record player and Guy Clark! And Butch Hancock..... and...... and.......

Hi! I had my first fresh tomato sandwich yesterday --- white bread, mayo, fresh-cracked black pepper. I'll get more 'sophisticated' later in the season.

Yep! The first tomatoes of the season have to be green and fried.

I have a recipe for green tomato parmagiana....yum!!

I have my own garden and work on a big farm and we are locally famous for our 'maters and sweet corn. I'm not even close to getting any 'maters in my own garden yet tho.

Just northwest of Charlotte, NC. My squash plants are bigger than my Aussie dog because of all the rain!!. My garden is on one side of my big chicken run that is on a slight slope. All the poo and rain run to the back corner where the squash are. Lots of plant but few blossoms right now because of rain. They are getting beaten down before they can fully open and get pollinated.

Only thing eating my garden right now are Jap Beatles. They have done a number on my peaches. The girls are liking them though. I bought one of those traps and hung it in run. They have been sitting under it and catching them as they fall thru the hole I put in the catch bag!!!
