The cockerel is a light Brahma. The pullet is an all brown one with black feather tips, she’s gorgeous. I don’t know what coloring she’d be considered. I hatched them from a local organic farmer/breeders eggs who rotates her roosters. That time magically she had two bantam brahmas. I got 2 “special” eggs because she likes us. I’m obsessed with them.
I am mighty confused right now. It seems as if all my eggs from one of my incubators are all hatching late. I am four to five days over due on my current BEIs in the hatcher right now. I don’t get why they are all running so far behind.
I started them in an NR360 on lockdown day I moved them to another 360 for hatching as I had other eggs not ready for no turning. Temp is set at 100 on these things but other thermometers have been reading 99.3 or so.
I was up all night, but finally managed to get the chick out of the crushed shell entirely. It took quite a while to absorb it's yolk and veins (understandably as it hadn't even internally pipped yet yesterday at noon). Now it is incredibly weak, but I have managed to get a bit of a homemade electrolyte solution into it. It's still moving a bit and peeping, but is too weak to lift its head or open its eyes much. Hopefully it regains strength as the day progresses.

Aww, she's so pretty. View attachment 2153506 I hope she pulls through for you! I've had chicks make some incredible recoveries from trauma before.![]()
