May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

I am currently incubating my first hatch of barnyard mixed from my flock. I'm on day 14 and I have a three dozen eggs coming from Omega Hills shipping out on June 15th. I've been pretty nervous about the shipping aspect for all the reasons you've mentioned. It's encocuraging to hear that despite the obstacles, you still have 11 viable chicks! That's fantastic! Congrats and thanks for sharing!

I love barnyard chicks make sure to post pics when they hatch.

Very nice, I am waiting on my avatar's babe today, and hoping for a frizzle, frizzle usually shows up not at hatch but a few days later.

I want a frizzle so bad but I haven’t seen them

Did you try to sneak the babies under her wings after she was settled at night? Most of my broody hens won't accept chicks in broad daylight if you plop them in front of the hen.

Yes, I did. This is her first time broody with me but not my first time with a broody.

First day is always day 0 because 24 hours hasn’t elapsed yet. That always confused me in the beginning
