Nature knows when it’s ready and never cares what our calendar says my two tiels were supposed to be hatched the 13 and 15 and they hatched a few hours apart on the 10th Mom and dad must have toasty tushies

Keeping them upright doesn't necessarily prevent wonky air cells unless it's completely detached it may benefit from an upright turner so that if/when it does stabilize, the air cell will be closer to the correct position.

They seem to be stable now. They didn't move during candling. Thanks

here are some more pictures of my new brooder. It has four compartments right now, but the dividers can be taken out to make more space for them as they grow. I just have different age and breed groups in the right now and a mamma with her babies.

I have a fourth external pip and there is peeping in the bator Only one left to pip - if I'm lucky enough all five will hatch out over the next 24hrs.

UPDATE: Make that all five! Now the last stage of successfully completing the hatch <3

Out of curiosity, what humidity did you have yours under incubation? I am attempting marans for the first time and finally got the humidity down to the 30's.
Love to see photos of the chicks!

They’ll be hatching in 3 days, I hope.

I do dry incubation so I never add water. I know it sounds crazy but my humidity stays at 20-30% and I get good hatch rates. It’s really humid where I am and if I add water things tend to get wonky on me so I just choose not to.

I don’t recommend anyone following my lead. I do recommend learning your incubator and the environment which you live. It’ll really help in the long run.

The two poults that made it are having a bit of trouble. One leans and falls to the left, the other can’t peep! You can see it making the motions and sometimes a tiny noise comes out, but it’s pretty much mute 95% of the time. So weird...

Vitamin b complex good idea to boost a little in some water? They both hatched yesterday evening.
