May 2020 Hatch-A-Long

That’s why I’m having issues raising my BBW turkeys. They are for meat and they’re too friendly

Gotta get just one for fun then!

The people we bought the property from had a Narragansett. He was super friendly and liked to walk around saying high to people when they went to the chicken yard. Then I read how friendly that breed is specifically. We’re new to turkeys though, maybe they’re all like this? Even your dinner turkeys lol

What is this breed? Was in the bantam bin

One of my husband's clients gave us his one lonely broody hatched BBB poult... she's extremely friendly and interested in everything. Sometimes she gets a little TOO close for comfort. 😂
Humans > chickens in her eyes!

Ok you are the second person to say that so that is what they are I guess lol

You'll definitely know once they're a bit bigger. It's really easy to pick out Cochins because of their big fluffy butts. lol

This is our old girl. She's a bantam as well. She's actually our oldest chicken. We still don't know exactly how old but at least 6 years old and she still lays 4-5 eggs a week!
