May Day Hatching Thread

Also late to this party, but I set 12 of my girls' eggs for a late 30th/early 1st hatch. One clear tossed so down to 11 by lockdown, external pips started happening on day 20, yesterday evening. One successfully hatched early this AM, with four [EDIT: make that SIX!) more external pips seen so far. Day 21 starts this afternoon, so I was a little surprised to see so many early pippers, but

I have 10 that will hopefully hatch on the 2nd! But maybe I will get lucky and have an early one to join in on the May Day hatch!

Thank you! It would've much preferred to stay in my hand. My hens are all gold or black sex links, roo is probably an Asian Black if you go on appearances.

Head count so far is 4 gold and 3 black chicks; 4 eggs left, one has pipped but the other 3 are quiet.

I have an early bird!!!!! Day 19 and a pip.... should I be worried? No one else is pipped

I got 9 out of 10 hatched already! #10 isn't pipped yet. 3 hatched on day 19 (yesterday) and 6 on day 20 (today)!

I took a peek under my very angry hen this morning, I see a zipped egg! Oddly, I feel very proud. I was too scared to do a thorough check, I'll leave that for later.
