I have a pip day 19 or 20 depending on if you count the first day have 4 total in there. Really thought none of the Marans would make it and only one of the White Red Laced Cornish that I really wanted so I'm really hoping that one comes out to play.
haTHOR- Great pictures too cute!! Go chickies go!!
As for me i can't believe it but I have a chick!!! Its day 19!! Not sure when it pipped, but I checked my eggs about 10:15 tonight and it started zipping and didn't quit, fast little booger. Hatched about 15 minutes later, Hooray!!
It is a speckled sussex.
No more pips as far as I can see from my other 35 eggs.
i now have 8 babes, and all but 8 of the others are pipped. one i am worried is dead...the hole got BIG early this morning, like 9 am, and there is no movement now in several hours...can see part of the bird through the pip.
this is pandemonium! how the heck does anyone EVER go to sleep in the middle of a crazy hatch out with only a quarter out and in the clear?
one hatched chick had a really yolky egg and seems slimy and sticky. it is having trouble staying up on its feet. should i leave him alone, mist him in a steamy room, anything?
one i'm worried about
one of he first hatchlings...justchilling. this is not the sticky one.

Sleep? I've forgotten what that is! I'm just a few hours into day 20 and just happened by the bator on my way to bed and I hear "Peep!"..so I look and a pip! A real honest-to-goodness pip.
I didn't think it would actually happen!
I guess the bantams DO hatch earlier? I am so excited!
Best of luck to you haThor and everyone else along for this crazy ride!
About the 75 percent humidity....thought that about 70 was the ideal.....if 75 is good I'm a happy chicken mama!!!! Downstairs this morning.....look, look, look,.....NOTHING!!!!!!!
no peeps, nothing......*sigh*. I know its only day 19 for me, but ughhhh!! Just can't seem to wait...so excited this time...hoping for a good hatch!!!
Congratulations to everyone the babies are beautiful....hoping to have some new ones soon myself!!!
I am always amazed at all the little things you learn on here...I see thermometers on the wire...instead of the top of the eggs...wondered if my little boogers would break mine...hmmm...guess I'll find out in a day or so.........
