Oh nice! Keep us updates and remember pics!!

wow... dismal hatch... out of a total 56 (37 after first candling) we had a total of 9 survive with two that pipped but failed to hatch. today is day 19, they all hatched on day 18. here's hoping at least one more will hatch... total: 4 Pharaoh Coturnix, 3 Italian Speckled, and 2 Rosetta.

Something malfunctioned and caused the heating element on my incubator to cook my duck eggs :hit . They were within hours of hatching. Naturally it happened in the middle of the night and I didn't discover it until I woke up. Temp was up to 108! NEVER AGAIN will I use a Hovabator. My darling husband got me a Brinsea for Mothers Day so I will try again. :( I hope to have better luck this time. My poor little babies :hit
augh! How sad :'(

I managed to let an egg roll out of the bator! It fell off the back of the desk and onto the floor. Only shell came off, the outer membrane is intact, but it was a huge part of the side. No chick movement detected :*( I put a wet paper towel over it, but I don't think it is alive...one of the chicks hd shoved it to the egg and the bator has a flat bottom.
)))
we have three chicks, 1 black, 2 painted (currently yellow with little black marks)

Setting eggs for the very first time today. I am so anxious, nervous, and excited! Am I crazy to try shipped eggs for my first attempt at hatching?

Good luck with it! You are no crazier than me. I just finished my first hatch and all the eggs were blue or dark brown.... a candling nightmare for an inexperienced chick mama!
