Something malfunctioned and caused the heating element on my incubator to cook my duck eggs. They were within hours of hatching. Naturally it happened in the middle of the night and I didn't discover it until I woke up. Temp was up to 108! NEVER AGAIN will I use a Hovabator. My darling husband got me a Brinsea for Mothers Day so I will try again.
I hope to have better luck this time. My poor little babies

Good luck with it! You are no crazier than me. I just finished my first hatch and all the eggs were blue or dark brown.... a candling nightmare for an inexperienced chick mama!

Hahaha, I did the same thing.
Got my stuck baby out of it's shell and now I'm wondering if I might need to put it down.It's feet are badly curled. It's having a hard time steadily walking. It's like it's walking on the sides of it's feet. It seems like it has spasms every now and then to. Ugh....![]()
