May Hatch-a-Long!

Pics
Something malfunctioned and caused the heating element on my incubator to cook my duck eggs

. They were within hours of hatching. Naturally it happened in the middle of the night and I didn't discover it until I woke up. Temp was up to 108! NEVER AGAIN will I use a Hovabator. My darling husband got me a Brinsea for Mothers Day so I will try again. :( I hope to have better luck this time. My poor little babies

Ohhh Nooo! You are sue they are gone? Silly question I guess. You've probably candled them. Did you candle after they cooled off? So sad. With the still airs.which I think you are talking about, I make sure I have that bator down a bit lower than what I want..then, if it goes up, it won't be too much. I keep mine around 99. I can tell by the feel of the eggs if they are good.

Final count is 10 turkeys and 8 ducklings.

I think the rest are not going to hatch by any means.
