Good Pic of your Zip! I like that. I had to do that to one of mine last year and it worked very nicely. I used the generic triple antibiotic that I have on hand it seemed to work like a charm. I left only a tiny hole by his beak for breathing and let him do the rest. And after a couple hours, out he popped! He seemed weak at first but after a few hours he got his act together and started acting like all the other newly hatched ones. He was the only one that didn't cheep/cry incessantly when he first hatched, I was just coming to check when I saw him do it. Then he just laid there. No cheeping, no wiggling, he was completely tuckered out. But, now, he's a beautiful black roo with white fringe on his neck. Fairly even tempered and takes care of his girls appropriately. You wouldn't know he was a slow hatcher that needed extra help!
Yes, Thanks Viola! It's still not the amount of chicks I needed/wanted to hatch, but almost double what I was counting. Today is day 25 for them.... Guess they all took a longer nap in this cooler Missouri weather. Maybe just Maybe if the hatching vibes are good out there, when I get home, those 2 pips will be hatched and I'll have a couple more pips... Although I sure didn't see anything exciting last night when I candled the others... hmmmm

Update Day 21 Afternoon:
29 chicks hatched (2 with intervention due to dried membrane and malpositioning). The 30th chick, a Marans, has a large pip.
20 eggs not doing anything.
1st pip in 1 of the 3 eggs as of this am. at 3 pm, it was more of a hole, with the beak poking out...I upped the humidity because it was down to 52%. How it decreased is beyond me because it has been pouring rain all day long!
Congrats on ALL those chicks hatching already!!! WOW!
