May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

Up to 7 pips and zipper coming right along. Finally one of the white eggs started. Every other egg type (Color shape etc) had nearly 1 pipping before. All were fertile at D7 candle with only 1 none fertile of 43. All will be some verion of BA though. This hatch anyway.

i'm still waiting for the next batch to pop out...don't get it. the temps/humidity holds steady. everyone is thriving, jumping around. the air sacs are where they are supposed to be...i see plenty of movement. then when i lockdown, they TAKE FOREVER!!!! i just checked the 12 i just put in monday, still nothing. candled every eggie is doing fine.

i use one incubator as my hatcher, a day or two before lockdown i raise the humidity up to no more than 80%, i make sure the temp and humidity stays there with no dropping or raising. then before i put the eggies in i recandle, do a sniff test and pop them in, and leave it be. i put these eggies in monday...still NOTHING! what in the world is taking them so long? every hatch is like this...takes forever then all at once they hatch at the same time....

i try to keep my bator at 100 and 20-30% for the 1st 18 days, i normally lockdown around then too...air sacs are at the fat end, they are perfectly round, stable, chicks are jumping all over the place....

what gives???

. It sounds good to me,,, I use a similar method I use my humidity as a tool to control my air cell growth I keep them at 30-35% till lock down at day 8 when I candle for the first time I mark air cell growth and add or subtract moisture as needed I let the egg tell me what it needs not the instruction in the icubator box ,,, if they are all popping at once you must have something right if they are not to small and weak from to much evaporation during incubation I would continue to use the same method and enjoy the pop corn when it pops lol

I have three on the ground, one with a foot out and one with a good sized pip in it. Still nothing from the other two eggs. :(. But I have a question, one of them has moved into the dish where the sponge and water are. It's a shallow dish but wondering if I should take the dish and leave the sponge? There's very little water in it but the chick isn't drying well sitting in water.
