May Hatch Thread--Fill up those bators n' broodies!

. I would say I'm sorry about what happened but you are gonna hear plenty of that in the days to come so I'll just be the realist that I am and say I copmpleatly shattered l 3-4-5 in a snowmobile crash back in 2000 and was quite a few years older than chip and I'm sure u guys coming from a bull riding family are no strangers to broken bones in all points of the body so u just tell chip to cowgirl up and get better all the best and get well soon

Oh wow!! Glad she's ok!!! Isn't it amazing that the things we love to do can sometimes hurt us? Glad she's a tough cookie!! Praying for quick healing and strength to get back on and ride!
Thanks everyone.

Off to candle eggs!

They are Cream Legbars. It appears that they are also both cockerels. Sigh. Crossing my fingers that the chirping egg makes it through hatch and it's a girl! Wouldn't mind if the last 2 eggs hatched either:p. I was really hoping for a trio, but a pair would be better than a bunch of bachelors!

Ugh. Out of 6 dozen I am down to 21 left that made it to lock down.

Second set I checked temp and they are fine. Quail are forming. Only three quail eggs but I think they are doing great. Half are mine and other half are shipped they were set on 28 th so they

Third set are from my flock and are all forming.

wyandottes ? It can take over 24 hrs in some cases or 24 minutes they have a mind of there own if they pipped the shell and can get air let um work it out they are better at hatching than we are for sum reason

Cream Legbars. What if it hasn't pipped the shell? I have been tempted to poke a small hole into the air cell to be sure it can breathe, but I am reluctant to interfere with the natural process. I would guess it is nearing the 24 hour timeframe for the internal pip. I know peeps die after internal pipping all of the time, but I am so anxious for this little one to make it! I know that is influencing my thought process though, thus my reluctance to do anything. How long do I let things ride?
