mealy worms & grit

Hi

I am new to chicken raising. Can anyone tell me when it is okay to give the baby chicks (2 1/2 weeks) mealy worms & grit? I have 18 chicks and love to watch them all the time

I give my chicks pretty much anything from the start, with the exception of nuts and harder to grind foods. I haven't given my latest batch any mealworms yet, but they have been munching on crickets since they were about a week old.
I start grit at the same time I start to offer foods other than their chick starter, just to be on the safe side. The exceptions being hard boiled egg and yogurt.
