I couldn't find one of the muscovies last night, I looked and looked, and found her on a nest of a dozen scovy eggs and four chook eggs (courtesy of the spitz).

My Lakenvelder is definitely not a people chicken, but she's the only one I've ever owned, so I can't say whether she's the norm or not on them.

I've never owned a Cornish, but the ones I've seen in show are spectacular! They look like the fattest of pigeons

I got mine as a chick and hand reared her like everyone else, but she was in a brood with Leghorns and other flighty breeds, so maybe she learned her skittishness from them.

Oh my goodness! That ones nice and plump!

My current least favorite roo is a bantam buff Cochin. He's hard on the hens, has started to sneak up behind me, and can't even crow!
He doesn't crow, he squeals! "A-A-OooooOooOOww". Drives me crazy!!!

I kind of feel like you might be good with muscovys. Who knows?

Do you even have to watch out for down pillows and feather beds?

Sadly my mom hates the way muscovies look so I can't get any. No, theyve never bother me.
