meanest rooster you ever had? pics?

My first rooster was a RIR I raised from 2 weeks old. He got sick, a mysterious illness. I brought him in the house and with the help of the wonderful BYC'rs here, I nursed him back to health. I even took him to the vet and spent about $200.00 on him. He was limping and shaking, he could hardly stand up. I took care of that rooster for a month in my house, feeding him and cleaning up after him, giving him meds. My daughter still laughs about the time she came home and I was lying on the sofa with the rooster all covered in a blanket with the cat on my lap. I told her "he was cold"

A few months after he was back in the coop, all better because of all my hard work, he started "The dance". I picked him up and carried him around and he would be ok for a week or two. I think his leg was still not up to par because he always pecked me, no flogging. One day he peck a little to hard. Very hard and oh my gosh it really hurt. That was it. I went straight in the house and put him on Craigslist. I sold that $200.00 rooster for $5.00.

I had a white Phoenix rooster from very good lines, but he was VERY people aggressive. The person I got him from was too scared of him, especially in a pen. I turned him loose in the pasture. If he saw me he would run across 2 acres just to try and flog me, he would bite my dairy boots, hold on and flog and spur, then he'd fly up at your face! We'll after weeks of grabbing, holding and carrying him around when ever he tried anything, he finally stopped. He became a nice roo and would even beg for treats.
Now I have a few D'anver roosters.... they are just ALL ATTITUDE. They will stalk me and try to flog me for no reason... just for the fun of it. Seems like all my Quail colored roos are that way, even ones I cuddled as babies. They will follow me and come from behind... the little buggers will even jump/fly up to my back/neck and try to get me. Luckily they are so small they can't do anything more than scare you. Then when I turn around they fluff up and walk away like... Yeah, I'm bad.... until I get the broom and chase the little...@#$! Then those little legs can run like the wind... LOL

My nasty roo started out as a girl! Thought it was a girl sold as girl-a few months later got returned as a boy! KFC he was called--because he was so beautiful and produced gorgeous chicks-I kep thim and his attitude- He chased and tried to flog everyone-so he went into a huge coop and run with his girls. I had to bring one of those huge plastic rakes in with me because everyday when i gathered eggs-that jerkwad flogged me from behind!!!

On Mother's day-of all days-it was warm and partially sunny at 6:30 am-I went down to coops in bathrobe and crocks ( normally in sweats and high muck boots) to let out the troops to free range. Out of nowhere, he flogged my from behind, ripping two huge gashes in the backs of my legs-I could feel the pain and the blood dripping and turned around to see he was coming again-I grabbed his leg midair as he was jumping at me-carried him upside down to the butcher block and took care of him right on the spot!

I was so mad he had done so much damage to my legs-took 2 months for those wounds to heal properly!!! I now have a scar on each leg from him! That was my first experience butchering a roo that wasn't a necessary cull. I have to say in an evil I rather enjoyed taking care of him! Peace came across the land and I havent had a jerk like him in almost 2 years-If I do--I will never keep a mean roo buuh byeee

He was such a jerk! You couldn't turn your back on him! One time my sister was walking acrossed the yard carrying a 2X4 to the wood pile and he attacked her... Without thinking she swung at him and layed him flat out on the ground! She thought that she had accidently killed him but when she got closer, he jumped up, shook his head, and attacked her again! She had knocked him out and he didn't care! Oh My Word!

There was several incidences like this and he NEVER backed off. My Dad was about ready to take him "up to the back field" so that nobody would get seriously injured by him.... But, let's just say he was over-protective of his hens and didn't live through the item that he attacked.
