Thinking for beginning of next year. What do you guys order, where do you order from and when do you order them?

I usually get Freedom Rangers from Freedom Ranger hatchery in PA. If getting Cornish X, IMHO it doesn't matter where you get them from.

I usually order Freedom Rangers as well. I have been really happy with them. This year I wasn't in the mood to deal with 25 of them so I got some Cornish X from a local feed store instead. Good deal at $2 each at 2 weeks old.

I prefer to get my meaties mid-late August. It's plenty warm outside so no need to heat the babies. By the time it cools off they are fully feathered. No need to worry about heat losses when they near butchering age too.
