I have read many posts about Medistatin being the best way to treat vent gleet. My girls have a white discharge from their vent and I have tried alternatives to medicine and now need the strong help.
The articles have said to put about 0.5 teaspoon in coconut oil and let it harden then administer. I believe it's twice daily.
Any recommendations for this method of treatment?

The coconut oil will get hard again if you put into the refrig.

I've done pellet mash and yogurt for Medistatin. I'm certain there are others. The stuff must taste bad because I have to trick them to eat it.
Could this be used as a suppository as well mixed with coconut oil?

No, I would not use it as a suppository.

You could mix it with coconut oil and give it to her orally.

Do you have photos of your hen and her vent?
Yes. I just tried giving my girls the coconut oil tablet and I only got it down one of them. All 5 of my girls have the same discharge from their vent, usually white and sticks like glue to their feathers. Is there another medication or administration that is easier?
