Meet my Chick!

I'm a bit confused by this thread as I it's called meet my chick but I never seem to see any chick pictures here. If this is the wrong thread sorry but I'll add some of my pictures here. The grey chick is the oldest at 11 days old, he's already figured out how to hop up to the second level.

So adorable! Pretty chicks for sure.
There WAS a tiny chick in the beginning of this thread, but he’s grown into a handsome, debonair rooster! :love 🐓

Good evening everyone! Today I took down the torn net and threw out the old picnic table and chair from their yard. Then I let them out... they were so happy! But the minute there was no more net two giant hawks fly right over!! So I tied string criss cross across the whole yard.. I think it was a blessing in disguise that the net broke.. cuz the tied string looks so much better than the droopy net! Plus, no more leaves and sticks getting stuck all over the top! I’ll get some pics tomorrow.
I also have some drama happening in the flock! Yall know how Goosie is ‘special’... well TRUMP is really going after her! I haven’t been able to figure out if he just doesn’t like her or she is doing something to deserve his attacks! Like, I think she may be constantly trying to fight with Jan  ... and when she does that that’s when he goes after her... I’m gonna have to sit in there a observe what’s going on. If he is going after her all the time without warrant then I may consider removing her from the flock.
Sorry to hear about social problems in the flock. I am fortunate that my flock all get along and believe me I keep my fingers crossed because things have a way of changing when you least expect it.
I like the idea of the crisis-crossed tied string. If that really works I want to try that.
My project for this spring is to put a fence around the backyard so my girls can start free-ranging. They are so wishing for some freedom, they charge the door every time I come into the run. They have to suffer because I am so afraid for their safety. So I have money put aside and I am shopping for the best materials for my setup.

Observation will be key. Let us know what you see.

Ok you're going to love this idea. My kids think I showed sell my small eggs as"LITE" eggs for 7.50 a dozen! We had a good laugh . Market them as lite or reduced cholesterol eggs! Ha ha . Just kidding I live in a rural area and it would never fly
Your kids have a good sense of humor. 🤣

Oh I know what you mean! Mine have been cooped for the last four days! They rush me too!
I think the string will work just fine.. the thing is.. finding string that doesn’t dry rot too quickly....

I think you need the stuff that electricians use to pull through wire - it is nylon. I got some at Ace Hardware if you have them. It is tough stuff.
