Meet Rosie and the kids (pics)

Hi,
A week ago I posted some pics of Xena, our wonderful momma. (Meet Xena and the kids.)

Now I have some pics of Rosie, her daughter (from last summer). Rosie hatched out 9 kids in the rose hedge, and she's doing a great job with them. The chicks are now about 8 days old, and Rosie has them all over the yard.

Here's a shot of the kids and mom.



Now that the kids are toodling around the yard with her, she's started the tree lessons. Just like Xena did with her, Rosie hopped up on the low branch and did the cluckcluckcluck and the kids hurried to try and jump up too.



One very important lesson they've been working on is rototilling the yard. Here Rosie is digging up the grass, and the kids are paying apt attention. Never know what goodies might be there!
